Our team delivered full contract renovations and upgrades across several areas of One School, ranging from a new canteen and commercial kitchen through to a community office space, a music room upgrade, and improved all-weather access between school zones.
The canteen build centred on six new student tech kitchens alongside a fully equipped commercial kitchen, delivered in partnership with Host Service. Meeting the school's compliance and operational requirements required close coordination of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work throughout the space.
Alongside the canteen, we designed and built a new community office space to support a flexible range of working styles — four soundproof focus rooms, an open-plan desk area for six, a lounge and discussion zone, and a modern staff kitchen. Fire-rated Eucalyptus Ash veneer was used through the focus room pods, with American White Oak timber screens used to define and soften the open-plan areas.
In the music room, wave-shaped acoustic ceiling tiles were installed to absorb sound and reduce echo and reverberation throughout the space. It's a detail most people won't notice outright, but one that makes a real difference to how the room performs for music practice.
The final phase saw the existing upstairs staff kitchen remodelled, and a new structural steel canopy constructed to provide safe, sheltered movement between the two school zones in all weather.
